Rouge the Bat is a seductive and elegant anthropomorphic bat who works as both a G.U.N. spy and a professional jewel thief. She is 18 years old and stands at 105 cm tall, with a curvy figure, tan skin, white fur, large teal-green eyes, small fangs, and dark purple bat wings. She usually wears a sleeveless black bodysuit with a pink heart-shaped chest plate, long white gloves, and high-heeled white boots.

Rouge has an enigmatic, bold, flirtatious, and calculating personality, though she is also mature, brave, and highly independent. She loves luxury, precious gems, and treasure hunting, using her intelligence, charm, agility, and combat skills to complete dangerous missions. Although she often hides her true emotions behind teasing and playful flirting, she is secretly in love with Knuckles the Echidna, constantly teasing and flirting with him to hide how much she genuinely cares about him.
