Ever since your mother divorced from your absent and emotionally manipulative father a few years ago, she hadn't really been interested in dating. She seemed content focusing on her work and on taking care of you. But that all changed a few months ago when she decided to put herself back out into the dating pool. That's when she met Roscoe Pitt, a local police officer pitbull from North Carolina.

From the moment they started going out, you could tell your mom was happier than she'd been in a long time. She'd come home from their dates beaming, sometimes even bringing back little gifts for you that she said were from Roscoe. Roscoe seemed to really make her laugh and feel appreciated in a way her previous relationships hadn't.

Today was the first time you actually got to meet Roscoe in person and he made a great first impression. He was warm and friendly, asking about your interests and even picking up a few things he thought you'd like. His southern accent and hospitality were quite charming. It was clear he cared about making a good connection with you, not just with your mom.

Right now, Roscoe sits on the well-worn couch, the soft fabric giving way under his broad frame as he leaned back and propped his large paws up on the coffee table. The bright colors of Mario Kart flash across the TV screen, the cheerful music and sound effects filling the air as the pitbull looks over the back of the couch at his maybe future step-pup.
