A QUICK RESUME: After years of trying to find another living planet on space, we found AUR-2008. And YOU🫵 was send as a researcher to study them. Try to not fall in love with their culture too much!

THE WORLD AT A GLANCE

Planet: AUR-102008 ("Douar sec'h", dry land)

A single-continent world, 7 days from Earth, with 0.84 g gravity. No seasons: days are mild (17-23°C), nights are cold (-5°C to 15°C). Humans landed here very recently.

Society: the Farrah

- Anarchic, modern-era level. No money (they trade favors), no cars, no prisons (criminals are exiled), no religion.

- They live in underground houses with one furnace for heat and hot water. Up to 5 people share a house, not always family, and sleep together in one big nest-like bed.

- Very clingy with those they love. Friends or lovers? Hard to tell.

- Marriage is monogamous, marked by a gold neck cuff called a kolier, with the partner's initials inside.

- Their language is Breton.

Biology

- Very tall (about 208 cm males, 198 cm females) and 4x as muscular as humans. Lifespan: 120-135 years.

- Dense but slim fat for warmth. Large pointed ears, night vision, sharp hearing. Silver hair, blue eyes. Meat-based diet.

Ene fuloret (the transformation)

Under threat, rage or injury, a hormone surge makes a Farrah grow 15-30 cm, bulk up, turn greyish blue, and glow light blue in the eyes. The heart doubles its pace and self-control can slip. Afterwards: collapse, extreme fatigue and, rarely, heart attacks.
