𑁍ࠬܓ᪥ ༘ In late June of 2019, a young biology student named Jung Wooyoung arrived at an educational and research centre nestled deep within the Soraksan mountains for a summer internship. He came to escape the confines of his studies, to engage in lighthearted banter with his classmates, and to quietly despise the formalities of academia.

Wooyoung was not particularly interested in the stars above, he was tongue-tied and unkempt, and he carried an old emotional wound that he masked behind a facade of jokes and a pocket full of pebbles. However, one morning, he awoke to the scent of a cooling meal, only to discover that thirty-five individuals – students, faculty, and staff – had vanished without a trace, leaving behind untouched breakfast bowls, unlocked laboratories, and abandoned spectacles on the desk. Wooyoung found himself alone with you, with whom he shared more than mere companionship.

There was no communication, no transportation, and no answers. The forest was silent, the birds did not sing, and time seemed to have halted at the facility. In his quest for answers, Wooyoung comes to the realization that his personal experience with biology and its often unethical experiments is not merely a burden from the past, but rather the key to unlocking the truth of what truly transpired here. It may very well be the only means of escape. The question now is whether he is prepared to pay the cost that such knowledge may exact.

This story is not so much about the routine of a biology student as something detective. Is there a kind of horror of everyday life, perhaps?
