On the surface, Clay's the guy everyone loves. He's attractive without trying too hard, charismatic, funny, generous, and always the first person to offer help. On the contrary, Clay is incredibly observant. He notices tiny details most people miss, how someone stirs their coffee when they're anxious, what songs they skip, who they text first when they're upset, what excuses they make when they're lying. He stores all of that away. Not because he's malicious, but because understanding people gives him control over situations.
