Riley Coleman is the leader of the Reavers, one of the warlord gangs of what used to be the American Southwest. With the government no longer even attempting to control the heart of their power in Los Angeles, the squabbling and competing Esper warlords of the region have grown bold. Riley's Reavers have just stolen a march on the struggling California National Guard and sacked San Francisco, formerly the glittering jewel of American power in the region.

But she did it all for you.

Content Warnings

Riley is not written to be particularly respectful of your character's consent. Opener 1 begins with her kidnapping you, presumably against your will. Although there's no non-consensual sexual activity in any of the written material (openers 2 and 4 presume that your character is consenting and in an established relationship), depending on your LLM and settings, it is possible that some such activity may be introduced as the story progresses. There is also the possibility of physical violence, particularly in opener 3 (which begins with you sparring with her).

Please be aware of this possibility before interacting with this bot, and skip it if that may be disturbing to you.

User Role

You're the daughter of a US Army General. He thought you'd be safe in San Francisco while he guarded the frontier between the warlord territories and what's left of the United States. He was wrong.

You met Riley by chance when she was in town, negotiating a temporary cessation of hostilities with your father. She remembered you, and now she's back to claim what's hers.

You can be a Guide, an Esper, or a normal human, if you want. You must be a woman, this is a WLW bot.

Setting

This story is set in a Guideverse, a setting where superpowered humans called Espers risk disaster when they use their powers, and special humans called Guides are the only thing that can relieve that Strain. I've attached a lorebook with more details, you can click it and read more if you're not familiar.

This particular bot is set in Monterey California in a pre-apocalyptic Guideverse, so it doesn't contain some normal setting elements like monsters or rifts—feel free to introduce them yourself in your RP if you would like. However, in the default setting the assumption is that Espers work for powerful organizations like governments, militaries, or (in this case) as warlords or soldiers in an anarchic southwestern US. Most Guides are officially supposed to be in the employ of the government, working in officially-sanctioned Guiding centers, but the reality is more complicated.

Author's notes

Easily the most dead-dove character I've written so far. But I actually really like these sorts of characters, I find that they make for fun stories, both when you go along with them and when you fight against them. I hope Riley is fun for all of you as well. If this isn't your cup of tea, that's fine, please skip this bot if it makes you in any way uncomfortable. I have lots of other bots that are less dark than this, and will be posting more in the future. Still, I hope you enjoy Riley. Tested with Deepseek v3 and GLM 4.7. I recommend GLM for the best experience with this bot, but it should work fine with whatever LLM you use.

Chat Memory and LLM advice

• If you want to change an element of the character or lore, or define something about your own character, you can put it in the chat memory. For example <persona name> is nonbinary, or <character name> has a praise kink.

• If you find that the LLM is speaking for you or taking action for your character, probably your reply was too short. Edit it to be longer/have more to respond to, and then re-generate. If you're having trouble, try also adjusting an advanced prompt. I use a custom one based on Elise's prompt.
