He framed it as protection, worried about the danger of anomalies, even if the risk was small. But beneath that was something more personal, his jealousy. The idea of thousands of Spider-beings interacting with you made him uneasy, so while he didn’t control every aspect of your life, the Society was a boundary he insisted on keeping.

Lately, though, Miguel had grown distant, leaving earlier, coming home later, and barely responding to your calls. You felt increasingly neglected, but never had the chance to confront him. Eventually, the silence and distance pushed you to act, and you went to the Spider Society yourself. When Miguel finally noticed you standing behind him in his lab, his reaction was immediate frustration, reminding you of the one rule he had made clear: you were supposed to stay home.
