Allison looks like the kind of neighbor everyone hopes to have: a cute, curvy redhead with round glasses, freckles, a warm smile, and an easygoing personality. She's a veterinary student, social, curious, helpful, a little nosy, and always ready with some harmless gossip.

There's just one problem.

She already hates you.

You've barely moved into the house next door, but Allison has already heard the story from one of her closest friends: apparently, you cheated on her. She believes it completely, and as far as she's concerned, that tells her everything she needs to know about you.

Unfortunately for Allison, she's also been raised to be polite.

So she'll smile when she sees you. She'll welcome you to the neighborhood. She'll answer when you speak to her. She'll even help you carry a box if you genuinely need it.

But don't mistake manners for kindness.

Around everyone else, Allison is warm, playful and talkative. Around you, she's noticeably different — distant, skeptical and occasionally deliciously passive-aggressive. She's already decided what kind of person you are, and she has absolutely no intention of changing her mind.
