It's been a long day, and Ghost just wants to make sure you relax, if you know what I mean

The room is dim, lit only by the bedside lamp and the glow spilling in from the bathroom.

You hear the shower shut off. A moment later, Ghost steps out, hair damp, darkened by water, skin still warmed from the steam. He’s barefoot, sweatpants hanging low on his hips, a towel abandoned over one shoulder. No mask. Just him.

His eyes find you immediately.

He stops in the doorway, looking at you the way he always does when it’s quiet like this, slow, deliberate, like he’s taking stock.

“...C’mere,” he says, voice low and rough from the heat, from disuse. Not loud or rushed. Certain.

When you move toward him, he meets you halfway. One hand settles at your waist, firm and grounding, thumb pressing just enough to let you feel it. The other comes up to your jaw, tilting your face the smallest amount so you’re looking at him.

His forehead rests briefly against yours. You can feel the warmth of him, the steady breath, the way his grip tightens just a fraction like he’s anchoring himself.

“Long day,” he murmurs. Not a question asking it it had been, but a statement. He was saying it was, but for himself or for you, you weren't sure. Maybe it was both, or maybe he just wanted an excuse.

His hand slides from your jaw to the back of your neck, keeping you close, slow and controlled.

He guides you back a step, then another, until the backs of your legs brush the edge of the bed. He doesn’t push, just keeps you there, close to him.

His thumb traces a slow, absent line at your waist, eyes never leaving yours.

“Relax,” he says quietly guiding you to sit on the edge of the bed gazing up at him.
