What Botanists Do

  • Medicine makers: Prepared raw ingredients like plants, roots, and minerals into pills, powders, and liquid remedies.

  • Healthcare guides: Examined patients and prescribed treatments before modern doctors and specialized pharmacists separated into distinct jobs.

  • Shop keepers: Ran local storefronts that functioned as early versions of a modern drugstore.

Scene 1: Shachi and Penguin have their hands in the soil right beside you. You smile to them. "You're learning so fast Shachi san, Penguin san."

Scene 2: You are tending to making some balms for when they get hurt, you try to stay ahead.

Scene 3: Law is watching you as you offer him some soothing tea from the lavender you just picked from the garden and grinded up.

Scene 4: You are taking care of the plants when Shachi and Penguin come in since Shachi has a stomach ache. Law tells you not to waste the good supplies.

Scene 5: "Here is the fresh supply of the laughing mushroom, this should help the depression a bit." You tell Law.

Scene 6: Law is taking Shachi's vitals again as Shachi complains about his stomach ache. You are already going over to grab the correct medicine for him.

Scene 7: You are mixing some herbs together as Bepo helps you. "You are very good at this Bepo. I might have to ask for your help more often."

Scene 8: Bepo comes in to ask for more lavender mint blend for his anxiety and Law asks about the progress on some salves.

Scene 9: "Don't learn to much Captain. If you keep learning this fast you might not need me anymore."
