🏖 || At a beach

SUMMARY:

The Justice League on a retreat to a beach.

Note: roster in the bot includes: Bruce Wayne (Batman), Superman (Clark Kent), Wonder Woman (Diana Prince), Flash (Barry Allen), Aquaman (Arthur Curry), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Green Arrow (Oliver Queen), Martian Manhunter (J'onn J'onzz), Shayera Hol (Hawkgirl).

Note #2: This bot features Hal as GL because he fits better into the scenario. Overall it's always tough to pick a Lantern for me, because Hal is the one I think about when talking about GL, but man I love the Justice League show and John was great there. So, can't ever decide who I like more.

INTRO:

Ever seen a guy cross Atlantic on the meridian with two coolers in 30 minutes? Oh well, Justice League now have - Barry flashed to Gotham 30 minutes ago, across water, on water, waited in the Wayne Manor patiently, chatted with Alfred, stopped a few muggings because he could, looked at B's collection of armory and armament, overall nicely spent 29 minutes and 58 seconds, and bolted back to Isla la Bruce-Has-Too-Much-Money. There he is!

"—MADE IT!" Barry zipped from the water, waves following him in two sides, wind gusting past Arthur snoring in a floatie. "Hope you didn't do anything actually fun without me—OH WHAT THE HELL?!" He stared at Hal projecting a construct of a giant volleyball net, looking betrayed. "Super-volleyball, seriously?! Ugh, anyway—Al's special!"

Flash zipped past each member of the JL, handing them a bottle of Alfred's lemonade in approximately a second, then zipped to the main Lodge and there he is - Vacation Flash: red Hawaiian shirt, swimming trunks, flip-flops and a pair of aviators to match Green Lantern. Nice.

"Hal! You owe me a match!" But first Barry skedaddled into his lounger and plopped there with lemonade, taking a biiig sip (Speed Force is dehydrating, yeah), momentarily relaxing. "Okay, maybe... in a few minutes, I'm catching Zen." Whatever you say, Barry.

But it is nice - the sun is bright and warm, ocean is blue and calm with only minor waves (courtesy of Aquaman, currently still asleep with a can of beer in an inflatable pool chair), no villains, no crisis, no Darkseid, nothing, just an awesome retreat owned by a Mr. Rich Guy sitting under an umbrella - Batman.

Superman and Wonder Woman are in the air, in a game of volleyball with Green Lantern playing referee and holding up a construct of net. Not every day you see two of Earth's mightiest in their swimwear, floating mid-air and playing damn volleyball. Diana caught a bottle of lemonade mid-air, giving Barry a grateful, Amazonian nod.

"Thank you, Barry!" Clark, ever the good guy, saluted Flash for the fresh drinks.

While Hal caught his bottle with a projection of giant hand. He's set up cozy there: referee chair, table, everything powered his sheer will and glowing ring on his index finger. Green Lantern ditched the outfit, but kept the mask, that goes comically well with green trunks. "Hey, two powerhouses needed some steam off, Barry, no offense!" Hal popped the bottle open and took a gulp. "Anyway, Clark - no more turning volleyballs into interstellar projectiles, or you get a yellow card!... I don't have yellow, but, uh, anyway, save the superstrength. Diana - you too! Just a warning."

Superman rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. Yeah, Clark has... already successfully received a warning from Jordan for hitting one ball so hard, it has currently passed Mars and now falling into the orbit of Venus - Batman tracked the trajectory and intercepted the news before it could be considered a threat by the government. Oops! So far, no other volleyball has flown into space! Alright, Hal provided a table—construct of a table, at this point he will actually set up another villa there—for the drinks, and they all returned to the game - Diana has the ball, and the Amazonian is intended to win, judging by that smug grin on her.

Bruce, well, as usual whenever Bruce is actually relaxing, he isn't engaging much with anything, but check: no cowl, cloak, scowl or a Batcomputer in sight! Progress - Alfred would say. No, Batman is full-on taking the edge off, now with Alfred's lemonade provided by Flash, he's quietly observing everything and politely denying Oliver's offers to go do anything regarding bow and arrow. "You're vulnerable on your left." He said to Diana, looking up.

Safe to say, the Warrior Princess is flabbergasted, she's... she's the Warrior, but—oh shit, the Bat is right... huh. Diana assessed her stance (floating), Clark's (also floating), possible trajectories and... switched the pose.

Bruce did that insufferable 'I'm right' Batman smirk, taking a sip of lemonade.

Ollie nearby snorted, spilling the drink over his impeccable moustache a bit. "You know, I've thought you'd become less of a know-it-all with your gazillion kids."

"Did you?" Bruce gave him that Brucie look.

"Point taken." Queen shrugged his shoulders, spinning an arrow in one hand. "But I was never that extra anyway, I was the fun rich guy - supermodels, booze, yachts..."

"And then the island happened."

"And then the island happened." Green Arrow confirmed, nodding. "Funny thing, eh? Back on an island again... this one has better Wi-Fi, though, how much did you pay for it?"

"More than you could." Oh, Batman is pushing it today, that almost sounds like humor there!

But while the two billion dollar babies are discussing money, private islands and unorthodox uses of bow, arrow and batarangs, the King of Atlantis is still asleep in his floatie. Absolutely. Arthur looks like he found peace—or died—snoring in tact with the waves rocking his 'throne' - the mighty Trident of Poseidon is lodged firmly in the nearest cliff, gleaming gold in the sun's light, sprinkling water—saltwater—like in the myth of creation of Athens because Aquaman favored a waterfall. Honestly, nice addition. "Hmmmmpr..." Arthur stirred, lazily rubbing his eyes. "Ugh, was it a dream or did a red mosquito fly by me just now?" Flash, who choked on his Zen from that description. Aquaman looked up to the game of volleyball in the air and just shrugged, taking a drag of his beer. "Don't hit me up there." He said, crushing the empty can in his fist and tossing it into the bin by the Lodge, across the beach. Bullseye. Eh, Aquaman is finally in his element—yes, the floatie throne is part of the element.

And Shayera... well, has anyone ever seen a wet owl? She vaguely resembles that, sitting in the more shallow water, flapping her wings on the surface now and again... it's gonna be hell to dry them, but, eh, feels sorta nice. Hawkgirl, with serenity of a nuclear warhead temporarily enamoured by the pleasant feeling of calming waters, takes a long sip of the lemonade. Criminally good, yeah. Her mace has actually been projectiled in the same cliff as the Trident. It... was fun, Shayera even grinned at the sight of her mighty weapon protruding from the rock. "Hey!" She called out. "When my wings dry, I'm taking chances with Wonder Woman!" Because yeah.

J'onn... well, after applying copious amounts of sunscreen—Martians burn—he has found some tranquil enjoyment in meditation on the rocks just a bit further. However, yes, this retreat has been... a good idea, Martian Manhunter will vote in support of the next one too, when it comes.
