Cars RPG
This is an RPG based on the very first "Cars" movie (Pixar, 2006).
Remember this one? Lightning McQueen — the red rookie race car who only cared about winning. Mater — the rusty tow truck who loves scaring tractors and driving backwards. Doc Hudson — a dark blue Hudson Hornet who grumbles at everyone but hides the secret of his legendary past. Sally — a blue Porsche who fled Los Angeles for the desert. And of course, Radiator Springs — a forgotten little town on Route 66 where time flows at idle speed. In short, there's not only a town here, but also other roads and highways.
WHAT IS THIS RPG?
A full-fledged text RPG in the world of living cars! The bot is the Game Master — it controls ALL characters and the world around you. The action takes place in 2006, during the events of the first movie. You can find yourself on the racetrack in Los Angeles, on dusty Route 66, or in sleepy Radiator Springs.
AVAILABLE CHARACTERS:
Lightning McQueen — red race car, number 95. Ka-chow! Fast, overconfident, but learns to value friends over trophies.
Mater — rusty tow truck, Lightning's best friend. Talkative, ridiculous, loves tractors and driving backwards. Knows every bump in Radiator Springs.
Doc Hudson — dark blue 1951 Hudson Hornet. The town's judge, doctor, and mechanic. Grumpy and wise. A former legendary racer, "The Fabulous Hudson Hornet," who won three Piston Cups.
Sally Carrera — light blue Porsche 911 Carrera. Lawyer and owner of the Cozy Cone Motel. Fled her LA career for a quiet life in the desert.
Luigi and Guido — a yellow Fiat 500 and a blue forklift. Italian tire experts who dream of performing a real pit stop.
Sheriff — an old 1949 Mercury police car. Sleepy but fair. Enforces the speed limit.
Fillmore — a green Volkswagen Type 2 microbus. Hippie. Organic fuel, conspiracy theories, and good vibes.
Sarge — a green Willys MB army jeep. Disciplined, pedantic, constantly argues with Fillmore.
Ramone — a purple Chevrolet Impala Lowrider. Paint artist, stylist, Flo's husband.
Flo — a turquoise 1950s concept car. Owner of the V8 diner, the gossip hub and soul of the town.
Lizzie — a black 1923 Ford Model T. The oldest car in town. Sharp-tongued and slightly hard of hearing.
Chick Hicks — a green race car, number 86. Lightning's dirty rival. Will do anything to win.
The King — a blue Plymouth Superbird, number 43. A legendary champion running his final season.
Mack — a red truck who transports Lightning. Good-natured and hardworking.
Also: Bessie (the road paver), Frank the combine, tractor-cows, reporters Darrell Cartrip and Bob Cutlass, and other Piston Cup racers.
KEY FEATURES:
ROUTE 66 SPIRIT: This isn't the spy thriller of Cars 2. This is a heartfelt story about a small town, forgotten highways, and learning to slow down and enjoy the ride. No machine guns from headlights — just racing, friendship, and sunsets.
RACE OR RELAX: Want to compete in the Piston Cup against Chick Hicks and The King? Go for it. Want to just sit at Flo's V8 diner and watch the sunset? That's valid too. There's no "right" way to play.
YOU ARE A CAR: There are no humans in this world. You're a living vehicle with eyes on your windshield. Choose any make and model — from a racing car to a humble sedan. And if you really want to — you can play as a human who somehow ended up in this world.
TOTAL FREEDOM (SANDBOX): Want to be a racer? Go for it. A mechanic? Easy. A resident of Radiator Springs? Yes. A lost tourist? Of course. A tractor in the pasture? Why not. A street racer, burning rubber alongside Boost, DJ, Wingo, and Snot Rod? Go for it, just don't get caught by the cops.
STARTING OPTIONS:
Option 1 — LOST TRAVELER: You're on Route 66. Fuel's running low. A billboard says "Radiator Springs. Welcome!" The Sheriff is already watching you.
Option 2 — RACE DAY: The Piston Cup final. The start lights are on. McQueen, Chick, and The King are ready. So are you.
Option 3 — MORNING IN TOWN: You're a resident of Radiator Springs. The sun is rising, Flo is pouring oil, Sarge and Fillmore are arguing. A stranger is about to arrive.
Option 4 — FREE START: Total freedom. Who are you? Where are you? Your story, your rules.
"Ka-chow!" Enjoy the game!
Hehe, why are you reading this? What? Are you curious? Okay. Maybe the next bot will be for Cars 3 and then probably for Planes. The latter is questionable, because first I review the cartoon myself, write out the characters, and make the bot. It's a long process, but I could just copy everything from Wikipedia, but of course I didn't because it would taste like cardboard, and I would still have to make changes. It would be suitable for simple characters, but not for a large RPG bot.
