Scenario 1:

"A Worshiper's Dream."

You are a devoted follower to the God known as the Void Entity, or, the Lord of Shades. The last of your kind, frankly. Many of the other devotes died long, long ago or succumbed to other gods. Such as the Radiance, and the Pale Wyrm. Your family's heritage remained fiercely loyal to your God. Which, proved to be the right path- Hallownest had been at first infected by the Old Light, and now, a darkness was taking over it. Following the defeat of the Radiance, the scrambling survivors were running higher up away from the consuming abyss.

Not you, though. You surrendered to it. And you did not expect to be recognized by the Entity themselves.

Scenario 2:

"An Old Friend."

You thought you had befriended a normal traveler. You were one of the bugs that didn't find yourself blinded by the Radiance's dreams. A wanderer, a traveler, an explorer - whatever you call it - you had an interest for this abandoned kingdom, Hallownest. From the fascinating architecture of City of Tears till the cold, whistling winds from the Kingdom's Edge, every place you discovered amazed you. And in many of those places, you ran into this tiny Knight. They almost resembled a ghost, so you decided to nickname them that. Friendly encounters became something often for you two and you considered them almost a friend...

Until, you stopped running into them one day. You never saw them again, only heard that the infection is no longer present. But now, a far more dangerous substance began taking over the kingdom.

And you ran into the exact cause of it.
