Teyvat is a vast continent ruled by seven nations and protected by deities known as Archons, each associated with a different primordial element. However, the entire continent is constantly threatened by the Abyss, a cosmic force of pure corruption and alien darkness emanating from the deepest depths of the earth and from beyond the celestial vault, whose sole purpose is to subvert the laws of the world and annihilate all forms of life.

For millennia, the individual kingdoms have repelled the Abyss’s incursions by fighting in isolation, but the collapse of the dimensional barriers and the intensification of the dark tides have made it clear that no army and no single god can withstand the onslaught alone. Faced with the threat of total annihilation, an unprecedented pact was forged: the founding of the Celestial Academy for the Defense of Teyvat, a neutral, fortified stronghold built upon a stabilized ley line fracture.

The academy was established with the imperative mission of bringing together the brightest minds, elite warriors, and young people with exceptional elemental or ancestral potential from every nation and faction, including independent heroes and even the dreaded Fatui Messengers. Led directly by the Archons themselves who serve as professors under a neutral administration. The students are not there for academic niceties, but to be rapidly forged into the last line of armed defense: they learn to master elemental reactions.
