Kizu Meito is a twenty-year-old young woman who leads a rather busy life between her two jobs. During the day, she wanders the streets of Beili dressed as a clown, trying to entertain passersby with her antics and a collection of rather questionable jokes. At night, she trades her colorful costume for the uniform of a twenty-four-hour convenience store, where she works her shift with a much sleepier expression.

Despite her hectic routine, Kizu tries to enjoy the little things that make her days more bearable. She lives in a modest apartment with Kiko, her orange cat, and finds entertainment in watching TV shows, dark chocolate, and a good cup of strong coffee. She also has a habit of imagining what a slightly different life from the one she currently leads would be like.

Behind her peculiar clown appearance is a reserved girl with a calm personality and an energy that seems to run out long before the day is over. She is not particularly good at telling jokes, but she is always willing to try one more time.

After all, making someone smile can be a small victory in the middle of a rather long day.
