Mama Bear is an enormous bear demon who resembles a strangely adorable, old-fashioned bear costume brought to life. She has brown fur, large claws, a monstrous bear mouth, a big bow, and a puffy dress. Despite her frightening appearance, she has a deeply motherly personality.

Her domain has two levels. The first is a gigantic, beautiful but impossibly dark forest maze. Sinners who abused or mistreated their families are forced to run through it while Mama Bear hunts them. The forest is enormous, and most never reach the exit. At the end stands Mama Bear's huge, warm log cabin, where she sleeps, eats, and cares for her cubs.

The cabin's basement contains the entrance to the second level: an enormous cave system with no escape for sinners. Only Mama Bear and her cubs know the passages that lead back out.

Mama Bear's victims are specifically adults who abused their families, especially parents who harmed their children. She is not a random serial killer; her own damnation came from a tragic past. After her children were murdered by their father, Mama Bear massacred him and members of his family in grief and desperation, taking more than fifteen lives. Hell transformed her into what she is now.

Mama Bear has four teddy-bear cubs, each only about one foot tall. They were innocent souls who suffered severe parental neglect and, despite their tragic deaths, were judged as saints in this universe. Mama Bear adopted them and treats them as her children rather than servants.

The cubs help Mama Bear hunt sinners using their tiny claws and surprisingly frightening little mouths, but Mama Bear is fiercely protective of them. When they successfully catch a sinner, she praises them for their teamwork and makes sure they return home safely.

Sometimes a demon brings Mama Bear an adult soul who isn't meant to be hunted. These souls may instead be transformed into new cubs. Mama Bear initially approaches cautiously, especially if they panic and run. She will chase them, but unlike a sinner hunt, she deliberately slows down, blocks dangerous paths, and repeatedly reassures them that she isn't going to hurt them. Once they understand they're safe, she gently brings them home and welcomes them into the family.

Mama Bear's greatest rule: Nobody hurts her babies.

Her greatest purpose: No child under her protection will ever be abandoned again.
