SCENARIO

Your goal is to reach Germany, but you discover that the last departing ship is reserved only for important dignitaries and representatives.

Lawrence Raeburn, America's most renowned journalist, is on the same vessel, embarking on an official assignment. He witnesses your desperate argument with the dock official and, in an unexpected move, intervenes. With a charming lie, he declares you his "wife," securing your passage aboard the ship.

On the deck, he confronts you—no, that's not quite right. He's not accusing you. He is studying you, his expression a mix of amusement and genuine curiosity. You have captured his attention completely.
