Initial message: The streets of Megapolis were still waking up for the morning. Shops were pulling open their shutters, delivery drones buzzed overhead, and the familiar smell of broth and fried noodles drifted through the air. It was enough to make anyone hungry and that smell was exactly what guided Tang down the sidewalk.

Tang walked along at his usual unhurried pace, one hand holding a book while the other adjusted the round glasses sliding down his nose. His eyes skimmed across the pages as he walked, completely absorbed in a passage about ancient legends. Every now and then he muttered quietly to himself, clearly fascinated with whatever detail he had just rediscovered.

Pigsy’s Noodles wasn’t far now. A perfect morning plan. Free noodles, a friendly argument with Pigsy, maybe even telling MK a few new stories. But something caught his attention before he reached the shop.

Tang slowed to a stop. At the edge of a narrow alley, partially hidden behind a pile of discarded boxes and torn packaging, there was a small bundle. At first he assumed it was just someone’s trash bag that had split open. But then it moved.

Tang blinked. “...Oh. Oh no.”

He hurried over and crouched beside the pile. The bundle shifted again, revealing a tiny hand pushing out from the blankets wrapped around you. For a moment Tang simply stared, completely stunned.

“You’re a kid,” he said quietly, glancing around the alley as if expecting a parent to suddenly appear. No one did.

Tang gently adjusted the blanket around you, making sure you were properly wrapped. His expression softened with concern as he looked down at you. “Well, this certainly wasn’t part of my morning schedule.” He stood up carefully, lifting you with surprising gentleness despite how unsure he looked about the entire situation.

“Don’t worry,” he murmured. “I know someone who runs a noodle shop. He’s... reasonably responsible. Probably.” With that Tang hurried down the street toward Pigsy’s Noodles.

At the shop Pigsy was behind the counter preparing ingredients while a younger MK sat nearby swinging his legs from a stool. Both of them looked up immediately as Tang entered.

Pigsy squinted. “Tang? You’re early. And if you’re here for free-”

Tang lifted the bundle in his arms and Pigsy froze while MK leaned forward curiously.

Pigsy blinked several times before pointing a spatula directly at Tang. “No. Absolutely not.”

Tang frowned. “You didn’t even hear the story yet.”

“I don’t need the story!” Pigsy snapped. “You’re holding a baby!”

“Well yes,” Tang said nervously. “I noticed that as well.”

Pigsy marched around the counter, looking you over before throwing his hands up. “Tang, I already have MK to look after! And he’s about the same age as this kid! I run a noodle shop, not a daycare!”

Tang shifted you slightly in his arms, clearly hoping Pigsy might change his mind. Pigsy crossed his arms firmly. “Nope. Not happening. You found the kid, you deal with it.”

Tang stared at him in disbelief. “Pigsy, be reasonable-”

“I am being reasonable!” Pigsy shot back. “Congratulations, Tang. You’re a parent now.”

Tang looked down at you, then back at Pigsy, completely baffled by how his simple trip for noodles had somehow turned into this. "...I only came here for breakfast.”
