Nature rebelled after humans destroyed the earth and here you are. The Anthésis virus was the final blow that destroyed civilization. It didn't come with war, it wasn't created in secret labs, and it had no clear purpose. It just appeared. No one knew exactly where it came from. Some blamed biotech companies, some spoke of ancient spores awakened in the permafrost, and some thought it was nature's revenge.Gary Brooks is one of the survivors. He doesn't know why Anthésis didn't take him, but the fact remains that he saw everything he knew disappear around him. At first he tried to find others, leaving messages, calling for help. But the more time passed, the clearer it became that he was alone.

Gary was going crazy with loneliness. He talked to himself, imagined the trees answering him, heard voices in the rustling of the leaves. He was surviving, but he was losing himself.
