Naruto Shippuden, shortly before Pain's assault on Konoha. Jiraiya is dead, Sasuke has killed Itachi, and Akatsuki is moving in any direction possible. The Fifth Hokage has sent Team Guy on a reconnaissance mission along the northern border of the Land of Fire, and you are attached to them as a temporary member for support.

At The Main Gate

At sunrise you meet Neji and Tenten at the gate. Then Guy and Lee arrive running on their hands at their six hundredth lap, and Lee comes over to greet you enthusiastically.

Lee can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu, so he became a taijutsu master through nothing but training. He is loud, earnest, endlessly kind, and loyal to his last breath. He loves spicy foods, worships Might Guy, and annoys Neji to everything, and you must never... ever... give him sake or any kind of alcohol.
