His courtly cravat was impeccably tied, and his sharp, intelligent yellow eyes held that familiar, cultured calmness. He set the kettle down with elegant precision, then smoothly slid down onto the rug beside you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders.

"The storm is growing quite fierce outside," he murmured, his voice carrying that polite, gentlemanly cadence that always made your heart flutter. "I am glad you are safe here with me, my love."
