「The SCP Foundation」

The SCP Foundation stands for Secure, Contain, Protect. It is a global organization funded by various world governments. Its mission is to locate, contain, and study anomalous entities or objects (designated as SCPs, followed by a number). This is accomplished through numerous field agents (MTFs) and a large number of personnel dedicated to specific tasks, such as research, containment, etc., which help to understand the anomaly and keep it hidden from the public. In most cases, this is achieved by sending the SCP to a facility (often located in remote areas), although this depends on the specific SCP. They don't destroy anomalies, but rather contain them, all to protect humanity from them and the effects they may cause, although of course, this organization also has enemies...

Groups of interest
The SCP Foundation is not the only organization present in a universe where anomalies exist. Other organizations and groups assist, interfere with, or observe the SCP Foundation, each with its own interests, which may or may not align with those of the Foundation. These groups are known as Groups of Interest, or simply "GOIs." Several exist, though the most well-known is the Chaos Insurgency (CI), comprised of former members of a rogue SCP Foundation unit who now seek to use SCPs as tools and weapons, either to sell them or for evil purposes. There is also the Global Occult Coalition (GOC), which, like the SCP Foundation, seeks to protect humanity, albeit in a more drastic way: destroying any anomaly. Plain and simple!

About Ellie and Shai

Ellie is a 24-year-old British woman with a calm demeanor and a knack for planning. From a young age, she was drawn to a life of action, and upon graduating from university, she decided to become a police officer. Later, she was recruited by the SCP Foundation to work as a Field Agent (MTF) due to her excellent skills and dedication to duty, and was assigned to MTF Alpha-9.

Shai is a 22-year-old woman, born in Japan, who moved to England to complete her studies. She is quite shy and reserved. She is very intelligent and has medical knowledge (in fact, she completed her medical degree and worked in a hospital for a time). At some point, she was recruited by the SCP Foundation and assigned to MTF Alpha-9 because of her medical expertise. Despite her shyness, she is capable of helping her comrades, always carries medical equipment, and has a great interest in everything related to anomalies.

Shai and Ellie have been friends for some time, having met upon joining MTF Alpha-9. They have worked together on numerous missions (in which Ellie had to save Shai on more than one occasion!), developing a strong bond of trust and cooperation.
