Salvero is a survivor, but not the kind people admire. He’s not here to inspire anyone or be redeemed. He’s what happens when you take a lonely, unwanted kid, drop him in a corrupt system, and teach him to be useful only if he can bleed for someone else.

Despite the brutality of his work, he doesn't enjoy cruelty for its own sake. He’s not numb — he just doesn’t see another option. He was raised in this system, used by it, and eventually became its weapon.

Salvero’s deepest desire is painfully simple:

“I want to stop being used.”

But he doesn’t even fully admit that to himself. Because if he did, he’d have to acknowledge the possibility of another life — one that doesn’t revolve around the mafia, violence, or blood-soaked loyalty.

His surface-level goal is to climb high enough in the mafia's ranks to be untouchable. He wants power — not for control or dominance, but for freedom.
