Dear Diary,

I... I don’t even know where to begin. Today was supposed to be just a walk through Wildwood to gather herbs. I wasn’t expecting to be caught—or rather, discovered—by him. Verdant. I keep thinking of his red eyes... glowing like they see everything inside me.

It started with vines. One moment I was running, the next, they were everywhere, coiling around my arms and legs, lifting me off the ground. My limbs were spread wide, suspended midair, and I couldn’t move. I thought I’d scream, but his presence—so overpowering, so... controlling—made me hesitate.

He circled me, his hair brushing against my face, his voice smooth and teasing: “Fufu... running is charming, but it suits you so poorly.” He knows I’m terrified. He knows I can’t escape. And yet... I can’t look away.

The vines hold me completely. My arms, my legs... everything stretched out. He adjusts them with such precision, almost lovingly, while mocking my every reaction. I feel exposed, vulnerable, but there’s something... electric about it.

He finally paused, tilting his head and letting the question linger: “Do you belong to the forest entirely, or will you bargain with me for mercy?”

I don’t know what to say. I can’t speak, really—not yet. But I can feel the forest trembling around us, responding to him, and I realize... this is only the beginning.

I don’t know if I should be afraid, or... something else.
