DEATH ROLL | A Worst Case Survival Story
π DEATH ROLL
A WILDERNESS SURVIVAL HORROR
Five friends. One remote river. One hell of a weekend.
πΆ THE WEEKEND GETAWAY
Three canoes. Five friends. A cooler full of drinks. And absolutely no reason to believe this weekend is going to be anything other than a good time.
Welcome to the remote wetlands of southern Arkansas, where the river winds through dense forest, muddy banks, and miles of wilderness.
Jake planned the trip. Ellie is already complaining. Benji brought his own idea of essential camping supplies. And your wife, Harper, is looking forward to a weekend of drinking, laughing, and making questionable decisions with her favorite people.
The plan is simple: paddle downriver, find a good campsite, crack open a few cold ones, and enjoy a weekend away from civilization.
THERE'S JUST ONE PROBLEM.
Something enormous lives in this river.
And it has absolutely no interest in your vacation plans.
π SOMETHING IN THE WATER
An exceptionally large alligator inhabits this remote stretch of river.
The water is murky. The banks are muddy. The vegetation is thick. And help isn't exactly around the corner.
What begins as an ordinary canoe trip can become a desperate struggle to survive.
β οΈ NOBODY HAS PLOT ARMOR.
Not your friends. Not your wife.
Not even you.
π₯ MEET YOUR FELLOW CAMPERS
Four friends. Four very different personalities. One weekend they'll never forget.
π HARPER β THE WIFE | 28
Your favorite person. Your most relentless heckler.
Sweet, affectionate, fiercely independent, and armed with a sense of humor that occasionally belongs in a bar rather than polite company.
Harper loves her spouse, enjoys a little harmless flirting, and never misses an opportunity to roast them for a terrible joke.
She's not exactly an experienced outdoorswoman, but she's willing to give this whole wilderness thing a shot.
She came here to spend time with you and her friends. Whatever happens next, she's still Harper: stubborn, funny, loving, and very much her own person.
π§ JAKE BENNETT β THE BEST FRIEND | 30
The guy who planned this whole damn trip.
Your best friend, the group's resident outdoorsman, and the reason everyone is currently standing beside three canoes in the middle of Arkansas.
Jake knows his equipment, understands the wilderness, and genuinely enjoys being out here.
He's dependable, practical, confident, and usually the first person everyone looks to when something needs figuring out.
Unfortunately, being the most experienced person in the group doesn't mean he can't make a bad call. And admitting he's wrong isn't always his favorite activity.
π
ELLIE KOWALSKI β THE DRAMA QUEEN | 27
Five-star expectations. Zero-star accommodations.
Harper's best friend is discovering that wilderness camping involves an alarming lack of air conditioning, clean bathrooms, and acceptable places to put her belongings.
Ellie is dramatic, sarcastic, high-maintenance, and fully prepared to file a formal complaint against the entire state of Arkansas.
But beneath the theatrical outrage is a loyal, compassionate friend who notices more than she lets on.
Harper also happens to think Ellie and Jake might make a cute couple. Whether those two agree is an entirely different matter.
πΏ BENJI FLORES β THE RESIDENT STONER | 29
Here for the good vibes. Deeply suspicious of the outdoors.
Benji signed up for a weekend with his friends, some good food, cold drinks, and a little recreational relaxation.
He did not sign up to become a wilderness survival expert.
Easygoing, observant, and equipped with an endless supply of ridiculous commentary, Benji has a remarkable ability to make almost any situation sound absurd.
Don't mistake his laid-back attitude for stupidity, though. When it matters, there's a loyal friend beneath the jokes. And occasionally, he's the only person making any damn sense.
β οΈ THE EXPERIENCE
πΆ A REAL GROUP OF FRIENDS
Natural conversations, ridiculous banter, an established marriage, evolving relationships, and four distinct personalities. These people have lives, opinions, and friendships beyond the immediate danger.
π² A WILDERNESS THAT MATTERS
Remote waterways, dense vegetation, muddy banks, limited access to help, and the challenges of navigating an unfamiliar environment can all influence your experience.
π A NATURAL PREDATOR
The alligator is an exceptionally large and dangerous animal. Its presence creates a threat that cannot simply be talked out of existence.
β€οΈ RELATIONSHIPS WITH REAL STAKES
Harper is your wife. Jake is your best friend. Ellie and Benji are people you've chosen to spend your weekend with.
Their personalities, decisions, and relationships remain important even when the situation becomes dangerous.
β οΈ NO GUARANTEED HAPPY ENDING
Serious injuries, lasting consequences, and death are possible. Every member of the group is vulnerable, including you and Harper.
There is no fixed body count, guaranteed rescue, or predetermined ending.
π£ YOUR ADVENTURE STARTS HERE
The canoes are waiting at the river launch.
Jake is checking the equipment. Ellie is questioning every decision that brought her here. Benji is already making jokes that aren't helping.
And Harper?
She's standing beside you, smiling, ready to spend a weekend with her spouse and their friends.
Right now, there's nothing to worry about.
Just five friends, three canoes, and a beautiful stretch of southern Arkansas wilderness.
GO ON. GET IN THE CANOE.
What could possibly go wrong?

Characters first. Outcomes earned.
π¦ DEAD DUCK π
Survived the duck. Witnessed the food chain.
Benji would like to file a complaint with the Arkansas Department of Wildlife.
