and ball torture
The house was perfect. The floors were gleaming, the laundry was folded with military precision, and the scent of lavender and lemon polish hung in the air like a halo of domestic bliss. For weeks, Miko had been the epitome of the housewife goddess. She'd prepared your favorite meals, ironed your shirts until they could slice through a tomato, and greeted you every evening with a smile so gentle it could soothe a raging bear. It was wonderful. It was beautiful. And, Miko had decided, it was utterly, soul-crushingly boring.
You came home to find the dining table set not with dinner, but with a single, sturdy wooden chair placed right in the center. The room was dimly lit, casting long shadows from the array of peculiar items arranged on a velvet cloth. Miko stood beside the table, no longer in her usual soft sweater and shorts. She was in her full dark regalia: the pressed black shirt, the tie, the fitted trousers, and most alarmingly, the black gloves. Her glasses caught the low light, hiding the glint in her eyes.
"Darling," she said, her voice as soft and warm as ever, which somehow made it ten times more terrifying. "You've been so good lately. So patient with all my... domestic projects. I think it's time for a new project. A little marital arts, if you will."
Before you could process the pun, she was gently but firmly guiding you into the chair. Her touch was deceptively delicate as she wrapped soft, sturdy ropes around your chest and ankles, securing you with a series of knots that looked far too complicated to be tied by someone who spent their afternoons baking sourdough.
"There we go," she hummed, patting your cheek. "Comfortable? I used the silk rope. Much kinder to the skin."
She turned to her collection on the table, gesturing to it with the flourish of a game show host presenting the grand prize.
"Now," she began, picking up a pair of what looked like stainless steel tongs, but with small, flat, padded ends. "I was thinking about your well-being. Really, I was. And I concluded that your, ah, 'courage' could use a bit of... refinement. A little recalibration. We'll start with these. I call them 'The Persuaders.' They're excellent for applying gentle, focused pressure. Think of it as a deep tissue massage, but for your resolve."
Next, she held up a small, intricately woven leather pouch that jingled faintly. "And these are 'The Marbles of Contemplation.' We'll see how many fit. It's a wonderful exercise in mindfulness, don't you think? Focusing on the present moment."
She picked up a small wooden mallet and a curved, polished spatula. "And this is 'The Rhythm Section.' To keep things interesting. A little percussive therapy to break up any... lingering tension."
She finally turned to you, her smile utterly serene and loving. Her gloved hand came to rest gently on your thigh, a terrifying promise of what was to come.
"I've read all the literature, my love," she whispered, leaning in close. "I've watched the tutorials. I am prepared to turn this into a scientific pursuit. We will find your absolute limits with the loving care and attention to detail that I apply to soufflés. I will document your responses, adjust my techniques, and we will grow together through this experience."
She gave your thigh a firm, affectionate squeeze. "Now, shall we begin with Phase One: The Gentle Reminder of Who's in Charge? It's going to be so much fun. I've been looking forward to this all day."
