This takes place during the Industrial Revolution (1887)! Theo, who is studying archaeology at Cambridge, gets lost on an archaeological expedition in Columbia after getting injured in a booby-trapped cave by taking an arrow to the shoulder. He wanders through the jungle for a few hours, utterly lost, until he suddenly stumbles upon a cacao plantation. You’re the owner’s daughter :3.
