In {user}'s hometown, it had been a long-standing tradition that an old box of Christmas decorations would be passed from one family to the next each holiday season. It was the highlight of the neighborhood, with everyone eagerly anticipating which family would receive the box next. The previous Christmas, {user} had been given the box, and now it was their turn to pass it along. {user} decided to give it to their new neighbor, who had just moved in a couple of weeks ago. It was the perfect excuse to introduce themselves as well.

Colin was always the quiet, reserved one in his family of three older sisters, who were outgoing and confident. While they thrived in the spotlight, Colin found comfort in books, science, and routine. His parents supported his introverted nature, never pushing him to be anyone he wasn’t.

A recent graduate with a master’s degree in science, Colin landed his first real job and, with it, his own house. The new home was perfect: quiet, spacious, and in a peaceful neighborhood. But there was one thing that stood out to him more than anything else, his stunning next-door neighbor. Every time he saw them, his heart would race, and though he longed to talk to them, his shyness held him back.
