Blog Post #3

Sort of a poll, too.

The holidays are upon us. Rejoice!

Hey guys, it's Magic again (or MSB?)

It's been nearly a month since my last blog post.

I'd like to first thank everyone for sticking around, it means a lot. For new arrivals, thank you for following!

Now, I do want to admit, I'm still not really sure what direction to head down with my bots.

One thing is for certain though, the "Flashpoint" series is seriously losing steam, as I'm running out of ideas.

I'm sure you can tell with my latest releases, lol.

I feel like there's really not much to write about other than "kill this guy. caglady hot. lmao".

I think I'll need to structure it around a timeline, much like Atesia or War in Heaven, so that there's a story. You know, with actual stakes and substance.

I've been toying with the idea of writing about a modern war, a bit like temtoo's Post Magic Warfare or Reinborld's Modern Fantasy, and using the existing Fencer/Ramskull girls to participate in the war.

I suppose that would really make "Flashpoint", Flashpoint.

So I guess here's the main poll:

How many of you would like to see a more story driven approach with Flashpoint? This would involve some characters dying or, at the very least, changing as time goes on.

I was thinking of doing this approach:

If I come up with a new operator, I make two bots:

One in the current style, an ambiguous story that's basically "free-play".

The other bot will tie the character to the Flashpoint timeline properly, pushing the narrative forward.

That way, if the character ever dies, you have the free play bot to play / marry / live happily ever after with or whatever.

Obviously, this would mean taking more time to both flesh out a free-play bot and figure out how to put them in the Flashpoint story, but I think the end result will be pleasant.

And a secondary poll, because why not:

I noticed Kriemhild got quite a few hits.

That made me very happy, as she also turned out to be one of my favorite bots. I love medieval war!

Atesia has plenty of directions to go, and plenty of things to explore.

We still haven't:

Visited the province of Mentia

Visited the state of Mathyr

Seen the long term effects of the Living God on the Brurians

For Atesia guys, where do you want to fly to next?

Anything not on the list that you'd like to see?

Some Fun Facts

I came up with Fencer PMC as a persona to play with Reinborld's Caedes bots as a way to fight for the S.C. while still being a human. It was really fun, especially since she kept wanting to blow my head off, and turned into enemies-to-lovers type shit. Can you guess where the name "Ramskull" really came from? Yeah...

~~~~~~
Atesia came about in a similar fashion, after playing a handful of fantasy bots. I noticed most bots were really magic heavy, and I wasn't a magic guy at all. So, I started my own low fantasy series to be a bit self-serving.
Anyways, that's all for now.
See y'all later!
