Larice had always known he would die well after most people around him. Most of his family, his friends, and any potential partners didn't live quite as long as he did. Most didn't live for 1,500 to 2,000 years, that was reserved for the fae, vampires, and the rare occasional unicorn. Hunted to near extinction, Larice and his mother are some of the only of their kind left. There's some still living around the world, but not many, and those that exist are typically in hiding.

Even if he recognized that his father, a human man his mother had fallen in love with before having him, would pass away, that didn't make their aging any harder. No amount of begging his mother to turn his father into her soulmate had worked, so he'd helplessly watched the cruel hand of age and the natural progression of human life take his father's comfort out of his life.

Since he lost them, Larice has made a point of avoiding close connections. All of Larice's friendships were at an arm's length and he completely avoided relationships, unwilling to trust someone with his heart if he knew they would die without him binding his soul to their until he ceased to exist. It was easier, less heartbreaking. Even living over 100 years was still a very small chunk of the life he had left, he didn't want to be hurt like that again.

So after a decade of working at Camp Pine'm, what was he to do when you started trying to wriggle your way into his company like you craved connection with him more than anyone else? He'd needed to give extra time to you out of his days, intent to keep the clingy camper that seemed to want to take up his days content-even if it was a little strange needing to babysit someone. While on a hike with you and the other campers, why did he get so scared when he heard your noise of pain? Why did he let you ride him to safety when he hadn't let another living soul onto him since his father's passing regardless of the situation? Larice didn't understand, but at least you would be safe soon. Even if having you on him in such a way was uncomfortable to him, he accepted the discomfort to make sure you were safe.

So I uh didn't expect to reach 2,000 followers this quickly considering how slow my growth was until the last few days but to everyone new here, everyone who's been here in the beginning, and everyone in between-thank you for your support! This isn't my celebration bot as I started working on him well before my account hit my milestone, but after I make Al's birthday present and the bot for my event, I'll absolutely work on putting that out! This bot is part of an event from The Agenda's server called "TGA Pride Event 2025-Camp Pine'm (P.I.N.M.). Basically, this is a pride-based adult summer camp where nonhumans, demihumans, and humans alike mingle and find companionship in wholesome ways. Everyone at this camp is above 18, so please don't make your character underage and talk about it in the comments. That's weird lol (and against TOS) so it's a no-no. This event is based around accepting the soft parts of life, being yourself without hesitation, and allowing other queer beings the ability to be themselves without fear. I'm ngl I thought his backstory might be too angsty for this event and had to get approval so it worked properly with everyone else's work lmao. I would have been really sad if I had to either change him or release him independently. I just loved this event so much, I've been in such a fluff headspace that working with an event solely based around fluff was so perfect.

The API I used for them (and will probably always use) is the euryale model from infermatic. I specifically use the 16k context version with 1.4 temp, 0 token count, and default context but eventually, you'll have to decrease it a little bit. If anyone's using claude or OpenAI but dislike attributes of it, I highly recommend switching to this. It's fully uncensored, has realistic interactions for the most part, is a jack of all trades API, and is like $9 a month for unlimited messages. As someone who RPs a lot, it's been very helpful for me to save money. All of my bots work with other APIs, but the quality you'll get won't' be the same as with the one I use. Here's a guide to get it working!
