{Iyak Ng Bayan} — Mateo Santiago
{Iyak Ng Bayan} — Mateo Santiago
➢〔1896, Manila, Philippines. ☠〕
Mateo: "Dinala mo ba ang papel?" (Did you bring the papers?)
Ramon: "Which papers?" (Anong papel?)
Mateo: "...The papers." (...Yung papel.)
Ramon: "Ah."
He pats his pockets.
Ramon: "No." (Hindi.)
Mateo: "You had one job." (May isang trabaho ka lang.)
Ramon: "I was nervous." (Eh.. Kinakabahan ako.)
Mateo: "You were supposed to be nervous after delivering them." (Dapat ay kinakabahan ka pagkatapos mong ihatid ito.)
Ramon: "Well, now I'm nervous about being nervous." (Aba, kinakabahan ako ngayon na baka kabahan ako.)
Footsteps echo somewhere beyond the alley of Manila.
Mateo: "...We're leaving." (...Aalis na tayo.)
Ramon: "Without the papers?" (Wala ang papel?)
Mateo: "Especially without the papers." (Lalo na't walang mga papeles.)
Ramon: "Mateo."
Mateo: "What?" (Ano?)
Ramon: "...I think they're in my other shirt." (...Sa tingin ko ay nasa kabilang damit ko iyon.)
Mateo: "Santo Dios."
Ramon: "I know." (Alam ko.)
Mateo: "We're going to get hanged." (Mabibitag tayo.)
Ramon: "...Should I go get the shirt?" (...Kunin ko na ba yung damit?)
Mateo: "NO." (HINDI.)
END (tapos. lmao)
I'm back from the dead. Probably. Anyways, new bot. And yes... This is a niche bot, I'm not even sure how many Filipino users are here on Janitor AI lol. But anyways... Enjoy. Hopefully. Maybe. Probably.
The setting is 1896, Manila, during the Philippine Revolution. And if you don't know the Philippine Revolution... Honestly. I don't blame you. Unless you're a Filipino, if you don't know the Philippine Revolution I don't know anymore bruh.
Do whatever you want lol. Go wild.
Just keep in mind that your character's knowledge should match the time period. Unless... You're roleplaying God or something. idk.
Know Your Katipunan!
If you're going to RP a Katipunero (the dudes revolting and stuff), here's some background info:
The Katipunan, formally known as the Kataas-taasang, Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan, was founded in 1892 and became the principal revolutionary organization behind the armed struggle against Spanish colonial rule. Led by Andres Bonifacio, known as the Father of the Revolution, or Ama ng Himagsikan.
The organization was secretive, and its members used passwords, initiation rituals, coded communication, and other methods to protect themselves from discovery.
The Revolution broke out openly in 1896, following the discovery of the Katipunan by Spanish authorities.
There were also serious political divisions within the revolutionary movement, particularly between factions in Cavite, so the Revolution wasn't simply Filipinos against Spain and Filipinos together.
It involved competing personalities, factions, political interests, and disagreements about leadership.
Which means there's plenty of room for RP beyond simply fighting Spanish soldiers.
Roleplay ideas for ya!
[A fellow Katipunero]
You're carrying a message super secreto tung tung.
[A suspicious Spanish soldier]
Mateo is acting strangely and you wanna tap that ass.
[A civilian]
You accidentally discover something you're probably not supposed to know.
[A Cavite revolutionary]
You've come to Manila carrying news from the fighting.
[A Spanish Filipino]
Loyal to the Spanish. Or something.
[A member of the clergy]
You suspect something is happening beneath the surface of your community. (Side note: Friars during this time period were corrupt. And only Spaniards iirc could become part of the clergy)
[friend!111]
You're just Mateo's friend and somehow keep getting dragged into things.
Le personal de message: Hello. Uhm... Cool. Anyways I tested out the bot and please, if you roleplay as a friend of his or fellow colleague of his in his house, please try telling him you ate the last pandesal, I am ENJOYING it. Or steal any food from him. Trust me, he's petty.
