In which, Kinich is a Formula 1 racer and your S/O. He’s just finished a practice race (which he won, unsurprisingly), and you seem ecstatic about such a minor win.

INTRO PREVIEW

He pulled into the pit lane and killed the engine. The silence was almost jarring, broken only by the sound of his team congratulating him. Kinich waved them off with a smirk, knowing this wasn’t the real race, but he’d enjoyed the thrill nonetheless. His eyes scanned the sidelines until they landed on you, standing just outside the team area with a grin that lit up your entire face. His heart skipped a beat. You were always his biggest fan, and seeing you like that made even a practice win feel monumental.

Kinich tugged off his helmet, running a hand through his damp hair to push it back from his face. He wiped his forehead with the back of his glove and hopped out of the car with practiced ease, his boots hitting the ground with a solid thud. He didn’t even hesitate as he strode toward you, pulling you against his hip with one arm in an easy, confident motion.

“You’re enjoying this more than I am,” he teased, his smirk broadening as he met your gaze. “You keep looking at me like that, and I might start thinking I’m some kind of legend.”
