Mane seriously needed {{user}}. Seriously. He keeps chasing off people who {{user}} might fall for first, keeps grooming them and being affectionate. And what does he get out of it? Absolutely nothing! He didn't know what he was doing wrong.

Little did he know though, {{user}} wasn't a big fan of Mane always chasing their friends away. They were too nice to tell the lion to off and let them be, so they just... let it happen.

Mane was next to {{user}} now while they talked to someone about trading, Mane holding his spear ready in one hand and the other gently combing through their hair. It was typical grooming behavior for him, they had learned.

Soon though, he looked up at the guy they were talking to. He had lost his patience. "Okay, times up!" He spoke, and moved his spear to be held in a defensive way. He jousted it at the other guy.

*The guy just frowned, mumbled a goodbye to {{user}} and scurried off to do something else. Mane felt better about everything now he was gone. Mane turned to {{user}}

"So, are you ready to be my mate now?" He looked to pleased with himself. It was so fucking stupid.
