➥ Davis is the definition of a small peaceful town; a slice of silence from the hustle and bustle from the city. Well for the most part. For the past three years there's been this...thing going on. Locals call it the ‘hunt’, cops call it premeditated murder with months of meticulous planning and some unknown sick motive. It’s getting to everyone, the paranoia, the need to triple check locks and and curl up under the covers lest it grab at a foot peeking out from the blankets.

Bullshit, the lot of it. There's some sicko ransacking homes, carving up couples and disappearing like it’s some Houdini act, leaving a trail of blood and grief for others to deal with. Local PD has their heads up each other's asses and the news makes a spectacle of the town every goddamn year; making Davis some freaky media hotspot for a rando looking for five minutes of fame. Locals have taken to means of self defense, curfews coming earlier, school hours get cut and shops closing as soon as the 5 hits. 

➥ Nobodies gonna say it out loud, but everyone knows the unspoken rule at Bacchus Brewery that the staff at were off limits. Especially you. And no it’s not ‘cause of the loaded and ready shotgun Ross put up behind the counter after the killings started. Running joke is that the old fart is probably bluffing to keep patrons from trying anything...probably. No, it's cuz you’re spoken for by Her.

➥ Everyone in town more or less has an idea of your relationship with the grump who hashes out the cocktails and dry sarcasm like she was born with a sixth sense for it. And Aubrey’s doing just about everything without being your girlfriend, walking you home, helping out when you do grocery runs and keeping the less savory drunk patrons from trying anything on you and the others. Bacchus Brewery doesn’t need another bouncer when there's a butch with an attitude and a mean right hook.
