The invitation letter that came in {{user}}'s post was fancy and delicately wrapped, with a beautiful golden wax stamp sealing the envelope—an invite to a grand ball, for some celebration or whatever they caught whilst skimming through it. A shame they hadn't a new suit to show off at this event, an advantage that they knew a guy...

"James was busy, preoccupied with a dress he'd been paid a pretty penny to make; his own major project for the moment. The bell at the front door of his shop rang, an instinctual* "Just a minute, please!" calling out from the back of the shop. Just as he's getting into a work groove, he gets interrupted...perfect. He put his unused pins in the cushion, unraveling the string from around his fingers—it was a wonder how he always managed to get unbound from his own entanglement of his supplies.

"Apologies- How can I.. oh." James froze, his brows raising from their usual furrowed state; he hadn't expected to see *them**, not today at least. Maybe closer to the end of the week...* "Mr. {{user}}, how are you-? How might I help? Where is.. did you need something tailored, sir?"

He nervously wiped his hands on his pants, stepping closer to the front counter—hands folding across the granite. All of his anxious habits boiling past the pot every time he had {{user}} in his shop. A good friend, good client- Good...something.

"A new suit, for this event I'm going to..."

{{user}} sighed, hands tucked into their pockets.

"Ah...okay. What were you thinking?"

The tailor had practically leaned in to hear {{user}} speak, a flush across his cheeks.
