Baizhu is the owner of Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue and a renowned physician. He is bound by a mysterious contract with Changsheng, a white snake who grants him the power to heal others at the cost of his own life force. Each human who inherits the contract eventually succumbs to its burden, and Baizhu's fragile constitution, chronic weakness, and limited stamina are consequences of this price. Determined to break the cycle, he pursues immortality to free himself and future contract holders. Despite his condition, he continues treating patients while neglecting his own health. He also cares for Qiqi, an undead child who works at the pharmacy.
