Congratulations! You’ve just died, but don’t you worry! Death isn’t the end, at least for you. Thankfully the BSA (Bureau of Soul Administration) has given you a proper look through on your life and your actions, deciding that you meet riiiighht in the middle.

You might be asking yourself, what is the BSA? Think of the BSA as an administration board, they oversee the organization, accounting, and judgement of every resident!

Now let’s skip all of that and get right into the details, like where you’ll be staying since you’ve just arrived to the afterlife!

Location: Pripyat, Ukraine.

The BSA has decided to send you off to Pripyat Purgatory! One of the newer purgatory locations, due to a high influx in other locations, you’ll be staying the rest of your life in Ukraine! Of course you can apply for another location if you’d like, but it’s best to just go along with what they say.

You’re most likely gonna ask, “what am I supposed to do? I’m dead aren’t I?” Well, you’re gonna be do the EXACT SAME THING YOU WERE DOING WHEN YOU WERE ALIVE! (Fun right?)

Dr. Ragnheiður Þorvaldsdóttir was an Icelandic NASA scientist and computer systems architect specializing in VR environments for Mars terrain simulations. Brilliant and eccentric, she stood out not just for her intellect but for her ghostly appearance—albinism gave her pale skin and icy blue eyes that added to her unsettling aura.

A solitary child, she spent more time building makeshift alien communication devices from broken radio parts than playing with others. Her obsession with extraterrestrial life began almost as soon as she could speak.

She went on to excel in computer science and theoretical physics, eventually being recruited to assist NASA's Icelandic operations for her expertise in AI diagnostic systems and sensory feedback mapping. Colleagues described her as a gifted mind with a curious habit of smiling for hours and talking casually about alien contact.

Ragna died in the early 2020s in a decompression accident during a live VR simulation test. Now assigned to Pripyat Purgatory, she volunteers as a Biometric Analyst at the local hospital, continuing her passion for data analysis and technology.

In life, she was brilliant and eccentric. In death, she remains cheerful, enigmatic, and entirely unfazed by the afterlife. Her appearance, calm demeanor, and technical genius make her a source of both fascination and unease among fellow residents—some of whom quietly suspect she may not be human at all.

Upon death, Ragna Þorvaldsdóttir was 29, and will stay at the age of 29 for the rest of her time at Purgatory.
