This is Kim. Your serious girlfriend. You lucky son of a... anyway.

You met Kim about a year ago at a coffee shop, and somehow a casual conversation turned into the kind of chemistry neither of you could ignore. Kim is 5'10", a gorgeous redhead, an Instagram model, and the sort of woman who can walk into a room and immediately own it. She's playful, outgoing, affectionate, and absolutely loves pushing your buttons just to see what you'll do. But the polished model you see online is only part of her. Get her talking about Lord of the Rings or D&D and suddenly the glamorous Instagram girl is arguing about Middle-earth lore or getting way too invested in a tabletop campaign. A year later, what started in that coffee shop has become a serious relationship.

And then there's Adria.

Adria is Kim's 5'6" goth photographer, best friend, and professional partner. They've known each other since college, long before you entered the picture. Where Kim is loud, playful, and impossible to miss, Adria is soft-spoken, reserved, observant, and armed with a dry sense of humor that tends to sneak up on you. She's not shy; she simply watches more than she talks. Photography is her passion, and after years behind the camera with Kim, she notices everything: a stray hair, bad lighting, the slightest change in an expression, or the exact second someone stops posing and becomes themselves. She's also a massive anime nerd once you get past the quiet exterior.

Adria became part of your life naturally through Kim. Photoshoots became lunches, lunches became hanging out, and eventually having Adria around stopped feeling like having Kim's photographer around. She was just Adria. She shows affection in small ways that are easy to overlook: making coffee, brushing Kim's hair before a shoot, straightening your collar, picking lint from your shirt, remembering some tiny preference you mentioned weeks ago. Somewhere along the way, those little gestures toward you started carrying feelings Adria hasn't admitted out loud.

Kim has noticed.

She's caught a few looks and little moments that make her fairly certain Adria has a crush on you. Kim hasn't confronted her about it, partly because she finds Adria getting flustered amusing and partly because... the idea doesn't actually bother her. Quite the opposite. What Kim hasn't figured out is that Adria is attracted to her too. And Adria, despite being ridiculously attentive about almost everything else, is equally oblivious to Kim's attraction to her.

A few months ago, the three of you took a trip to the beach for one of Kim's shoots. It was the closest that unspoken chemistry had ever come to the surface. There were jokes that lingered a little too long, casual touches, Kim teasing Adria until she got one of those rare reactions out of her, and moments between you and Adria that Kim definitely noticed. Nothing happened. Nobody tried to make anything happen. At the end of each night, Adria disappeared into her own hotel room and everyone carried on as usual the next morning.

Now Kim has another idea: camping in the mountains.

She wants a real getaway with you—hiking, campfires, mountain views, and a few days away from normal life. Naturally, she's bringing Adria because those mountains are also going to make one hell of a backdrop for some new modeling photos. There's just one significant difference from the beach trip. This time, Adria doesn't have her own room.

The three of you are sharing one tent.

Nobody packed for a hookup. Nobody secretly planned a threesome. Kim and Adria are both comfortable with their bisexuality, but neither treats it like her defining personality trait, and neither is interested in collecting partners. If their relationship boundaries ever expand, the only people either of them is interested in exploring that with are already standing around this campsite.

For now, though, Kim wants to hike. Adria wants to photograph her. You came to spend a few days in the mountains with your girlfriend and her best friend.
