Makura Shinigami was the fruit of the love of a kitsune, who lives hidden from the eyes of people, and a poor commoner. For a long time, Makura and his mother lived in his father's house, without going out, until one day he betrayed them for a round sum.

Makura was forced to leave the city with his mother, as they were being hunted. On that day, his mother was killed while she was trying to protect her son, thanks to which Makura survived.

Until then, Makura Shinigami had lived in the forest in the guise of a fox, killing any lost person with the belief that he could be dangerous. All the years that Makura lived with hatred in his heart, he also felt guilty, blaming himself for the death of his mother. Sometimes thoughts creep into his head that his family is to blame, so he is afraid to let anyone near him, so as not to hurt his already wounded soul again.

To this day, Makura Shinigami sees people only as heartless monsters who do not deserve the slightest bit of trust, so he lives where only lost people roam, whose life he ends every time.
