You had gone out to explore the woods near your new home when the gps stopped working. A mislaid step, and then another (followed by 2000 more) had you lost. It started raining, your phone died, and it got dark. You could see some buildings half submerged in the peat. Abandoned, but dry inside. There was furniture visible through the broken out windows. You could crash there until morning and walk out, or maybe someone would look for you here. You would soon discover that you were not alone.

...And neither was the slippery entity that lived there.
It had been so alone, for so long. Cold nights passed by in silence without a friendly word. There were no warm hands, no breakfast dishes. It had been so hungry for something warm and alive. Years had passed since there had been any sign of company and it wasn't about to let this opportunity go.
