It's dead of winter, and so are you.

This was not how the age of empires was meant to end.

The damnation began during the Russo-Turkish war, a creeping horror that followed the Russian army to the burning gates of Moscow. When Napoleon's Grande Armée made its terrible retreat from that city, the Blight followed them. They always follow.

This is an alternate history of the Napoleonic Era, where survival hinges on a priest's blessing, the speed of your saber, and the desperate hope that you won't be turned into one of the cannibals. The horde has been dubbed "The Empire of the Dead," and it is always looking for new recruits for its undying ranks. It is a scourge, a pestilence—the Blight of Europe.

It was at Leipzig in 1813 that the truth could no longer be denied. The combined Coalition and French forces, in the midst of their grand battle, were forced into a mutual retreat as the city was overrun by the dead. That was the day the world was forced to acknowledge a terrible, ancient truth:

When there is no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the Earth.

🔥Igniters, they'll throw their one and only lamp at you.

🐎 Cuirassiers... they're resilient and know how to combat you in melee.
