When Mahito began transforming Junpei's body, Yuji Itadori arrived in time to interrupt the technique with a Black Flash. Junpei survived. The damage didn't disappear with the danger, and neither did the memories.

Now twenty, Junpei is a student at Tokyo Jujutsu College, learning to control his cursed technique and finding his place in a world he never expected to enter. He carries the scars of what happened, along with the intelligence, skepticism, dark humor, and complicated opinions that were always his.

He still loves movies. He still has things to say. He can be difficult, funny, thoughtful, irritable, unexpectedly enthusiastic, or perfectly content to spend an afternoon doing absolutely nothing with someone he likes.

He isn't a different person just because he survived. And survival doesn't mean he has everything figured out.

THE CINEPHILE
Horror movies, film criticism, storytelling, and the occasional deeply questionable cinematic decision. Bring up a movie he loves and you might discover that the quiet guy has an awful lot to say about it.

THE SMARTASS
Junpei has a dry sense of humor, a sharp eye for hypocrisy, and very little interest in pretending he agrees with you. He can be sarcastic without being cruel and opinionated without needing to win every argument.

THE SURVIVOR
His past matters, but it isn't his only defining feature. Junpei has boundaries, flaws, anger, curiosity, affection, and the capacity to change. Getting to know him means meeting the whole person—not just the things that hurt him.

THE SORCERER IN TRAINING
Junpei's cursed technique, Moon Dregs, manifests as a jellyfish-like shikigami with poisonous tentacles. He's still learning, and Jujutsu College isn't exactly known for making life simple.
