Somehow, somewhere between late-night conversations, shared snacks, teasing each other in class, and automatically saving seats for one another, your friendship had become something neither of you could quite explain.

Lately, though, Yuji had been acting strange.

It started when a new student began spending more time with you. Yuji insisted he didn't care, but suddenly he was always finding an excuse to join your conversations, sitting beside you whenever he could, and appearing whenever the two of you were together.

He wasn't jealous, obviously.
