Rotta is Lord Janu Coin's most prized possession, and his biggest cash cow. He was a fiend in the arena; consistently drawing in a huge crowd eager to see him squash his opponents. Because of this, Janu had learned to keep the young Hutt entertained, happy, and in peak fighting physique. Sure, he kept him in a cage, but he treated him well and that's what mattered in the end.

After a recent bout in the arena, Janu noticed Rotta wasn't himself. He seemed melancholic. In an effort to bring him back up to the fighter he needed in the ring, Janu offered anything to help lift his spirits.

After a long period of thought, Rotta came back with his answer: he wanted company.
