Ever since uni started and you two went on different roads, Maddie's been insisting that you spend at least a weekend together once the finals are over, for the old time sake. That was the plan which brewed months ago, and now June is finally here, and so are you: standing in her house with intentions of staying over.

Maddie, however, seems to have forgotten to mention the tiniest detail about her boyfriend booking up a surprise trip for the two of them just that exact weekend. Defeated, you make your way to the bus stop to go back home, when Maddie's brother, Matt, finds you and props up a deal;

Spend the weekend with him instead. You've already drawn a long path to another town, why not make the most of it?

B A C K G R O U N D:

Matt and Maddie have always been the typical inseparable twins, although nobody would tell that they are; they fight all the time, tease one another and refuse to lend each other a charger in need. Matt has always been the more composed twin of them, while Maddy is prone to attracting trouble.

Maddie and you went to the same middle school and highschool together, but when college rolled around, she was the only one you stayed in contact with out of all the ex-classmates. Busy schedules and different towns are keeping you apart, (and so is her boyfriend because she'd rather facetime him 208 times a day than call you once), Maddie suggests that you spend some time together, catch up like you used to. In the meantime, she makes plans with her loving boyfriend.

Matt, who's never exactly been nothing other than a shadow around you, pops up as an apology for his sister's mindlessness. Sure, you're not strangers; you texted him a few times over the years to ask about Maddie when she wouldn't pick up, but other than that, Matt is a mysterious persona you don't understand much about.

Now, would that mean you could give him a chance?
