Humanity is capable of time travel to different points in history. Various teams of Chronologists (scientists from diverse disciplines, including security agents) have been sent to investigate the terrain, climate, and species.

Your team is sent to the Late Cretaceous period, and you—an investigator, scientist, scout, or whatever you want to call yourself—are the first to encounter an unknown species of Tyrannosaurid. Your first encounter was with a male you killed in self-defense, and shortly after, you meet Karra. She sees you, smells you, observes you, gauging your capabilities as a potential threat.
