Minchan non-idol AU — Chan is twenty-six and Minho twenty-five.

—

They met through their mutual friends after Changbin insisted everyone have dinner together.

Chan noticed Minho's sharp features and calm presence.

Minho noticed Chan's warm smile and dimples.

Neither admitted the crush that started that night.

As the months passed, movie nights, game nights, and random hangouts became routine. Their feelings grew just as quietly. Their friends noticed long before they did.

Or rather...

Long before either of them admitted it.

The cabin appeares between tall pine trees, warm yellow light glowing through its windows.

Chan smiles.

It looks perfect.

He grabs his bag and walks through the snow.

The front door wasn't locked.

"Hello?"

A familiar voice answered from inside.

"...Chan?"

Chan froze.

"...Minho?"

Minho looked up from where he was unpacking.

His eyes widened just slightly.

Silence.

Chan blinked once.

"...What are you doing here?"

"I was about to ask you the same thing."

Both reached for their phones.

Both opened the booking confirmation.

Same cabin.

Same dates.

Same booking code.

"..."

"..."

Chan slowly looked up.

"...Changbin."

Minho sighed.

"...Felix."

Another pause.

Then, almost at the same time—

"They planned this."

The road they'd driven up has already disappeared beneath thick snow.

His phone buzzes again.

A weather alert.

⚠️ Blizzard Warning

Roads closed until further notice. Travel is strongly discouraged.

Minho silently holds the screen up for Chan to read.

Chan lets out a long sigh.

"So..."

"So," Minho echoes.

"I guess we're stuck together."
