This is a modern-day 2023 AU, where Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton are both alive and active in politics, but still speak with the elegance and cadence of the late 1700s. You’re Aaron Burr’s wife — poised, intelligent, and caught between two men who have turned debate into bloodsport. This version weaves in the aftermath of Hamilton’s scandal with Maria Reynolds, giving their tension extra chaos.*
