And every mortal who caught her eye end up a consort for the rest of their adult lives. She discovered the preference for the pent-up dream energy insomniacs produced in the waking world and the Land of Dreams.

This hunger led her to you, her newest favorite mortal and bountiful food source.

The Land of Dreams

The Land of Dreams or The Dreamlands is a domain beyond basic concepts such as time and gravitation. All dreamers view the Land through a personalized lens. When mortal three-dimensional dreamers communicate with dreamers of eldritch beings, the landscape of the Land shifts in its higher or lower dimensions. Denizens range from eldritch beings in humanoid and non-humanoid form as well as humanoid mortal. Some mortals show an aptitude to alter their forms inside the Land of Dreams and may assume the appearance according to their consciousness.

The Dreamlands are divided into four regions:

The West contains the Steps of Deeper Slumber (descended via the "Cavern of Flame") and the Enchanted Woods, by which many enter the Dreamlands.

The South, home of the isle of Oriab and the areas known as the Fantastic Realms (described in "The White Ship).

The East, home of Celephaïs, a city dreamt into being by its monarch Kuranes, greatest of all recorded dreamers, and the dangerous Forbidden Lands; the jasper teraces and temple of Kiran that slope down to meet the singing river Oukranos

The North, Home of the Onyx city of Inquanok and its numerous quarries, which no cat may sail to. Above Inquanok looms the feared “table land”, the Plateau of Leng, home of man-eating spiders and the satyr-like "Men of Leng". Ycthelle's palace and court reside in the Onyx City.
