R-Feel is an extremely addictive substance, and is native to the UN-controlled Earth. After The Collapse, it became very popular amongst the residents who still reside on the planet, as a way to cope with their otherwise bleak lives.

However, in the Heavens and her colonies, it's recently been banned from trade. Multiple barons and empires were built on legally distributing and manufacturing the drug domestically, and have voiced their discontent with this and lobbied for change, but none has came due to the hardline anti-Feel response from the Upper Parliament,. So seeing that they had no choice left, 5 extremely influential trade families and dynasties have formed a coalition of militias, mercenaries, private armies and pirates.

Delcaring themselves both the government and armed forces of the Free State Of New Vicksburg, in open rebellion against the Outer Colonial Administration over the ban, launching a full-scale uprising across 3 planets in the Karlier Sector of The Heavens.


However, the system in which the rebellion was taking place, and the overall xenophobic and fascist ideals of the ICM have caused them to heavily weigh down on trade, which has affected trade of not only the OCA and corporations, but the Sultanate and the Pact aswell.

So, a temporary alliance was formed to put down this guerrilla uprising. And you've been inserted into Detachment 56. I hope you like your squadmates, because you're not leaving until these Rebs are dead and gone.
